Full Description
Every Christian husband and wife have a mandate for ministry — in their homes, in their churches, and in the community at large. But, often husbands and wives are "merely roommates" when it comes to their ministries, each of them ministering more or less independently of the other. Tom and Priscilla Fisher followed a different path, one that takes seriously God's design for husband and wife to minister as a well-matched team. In this workshop they explain how and why they abandoned the old "roommate model of ministry" for Christian couples, and reached out to their neighborhood with evangelism and discipleship projects that capitalized on their marriage, rather than ignoring it.
Tom and Priscilla Fisher both have degrees in graphic design, he from Bowling Green State University, she from the University of Cincinnati. Tom was trained by the Navigators in college, with whom he served as a missionary in Eastern Europe for three years. Priscilla has served as ICGS' graphic designer since 1994. They have ministered as laymen in various capacities through the years. For the past eight years they have taken a missionary approach to domestic evangelism and discipleship. Married 18 years, they live in Cincinnati.
