Barbara Mouser explores three roots of darkness which benight modern women: the leveling of gender roles in the name of promoting freedom, the drive to seek and serve oneself, and the pervasive belief that the body exists for sex and food. Against these dark ideas, Barbara sets God's design for sexual roles and social structures which lead to true freedom through the pursuit of God instead of self. Barbara Mouser is a Bill's wife of 23 years, mother of four daughters, and Bible teacher for the past 35 years. She is the author of Five Aspects of Woman, Knowing God and Understanding Men; and Five Aspects of Femininity for Young Women. She is co-author with her husband Bill of the recently published Five Aspects of Masculinity for Young Men. She earned a BA from Texas Tech University in French, and the MABS degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. She is the Director of Women's Ministries for ICGS, and is a frequent conference speaker.
